Ravaged, Vol 2

Guess what? I have another shifter story out today :D

Well, I and a few other authors. Ravaged, Vol 2 is happily out today (the 3rd in case this goes out a little early)! I along with my fellow writers wrote about things that shift...into what, well, you'll have to read to find them all out. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as the editor enjoyed torturing pushing us.

I had this fancy schmancy blog post planned, but forgot what I wanted to say. So, here it is. Plain as toast. But I do have something fancy, a cover!

Witchy Wolf, is my contribution. Did you know that Stonehenge isn't the only circle of stones to be made in Briton? I did this research a while back. Right now, I have Maya on the mind right now. HOURS of research, for a less than 10k word story. And do you know how much I used? *This* much. But you know what, it's there in the back of my mind as I write.

Writing is like that. With few exceptions, writers who are published have done their research. Hell, most of the time, editors do research as well. Although, I will admit to saying (when I'm the editor) to said authors, I have no knowledge of this (like, I don't know, Italian!), so please triple check your facts (or like, the syntax, verb agreement, spelling, accents :P). Otherwise, you would not believe the research that happens. The internet has been a godsend in more than one way!

Now, put on some mood music, fire up the candles, turn down the lights, perhaps slip into something comfortable, and get ready for a hot read that will set you ablaze.

Oh, and one more thing before deciding on your favorite scented candles...A give away!!! Comment, tweet, what have you, see how you can enter to win a lot of fun things to keep you warm this winter! Or to sit by the lake and read if you're down under. Somewhere you can jump into cool water to bring your body temp down to human :)

5 chances to win books, plus GC

at BK Walker books! Go and comment!! And I'm giving away a copy of Ravaged to someone who comments on every blog. Every comment gives you an entry for a $20 gift card and you don't even have to buy the books on tour (although, I'd be more than happy if you picked up Ravaged :)

And another awesome surprise, my author friend who won a copy of The Ulfric's Mate, is giving it away! Why? you may ask. *waits while you ask* Simply because she already bought a copy :P *sighs as warm and fuzzies fill up the heart*

The free copy of The Ulfric's Mate is available to a lucky commenter here.

Okay, I'm in love. Big sighs. This cover is gorgeous!! And, if you're promoting me, my books, then feel free to use it :) Would be lovely with a link to buy it... *ponders how to do that to pictures* oh well. But that's not all folks. I'm giving a copy away as well to a lucky commenter on her blog!

And as if that's not enough, she gives a wonderful interview of moi. I'm almost getting the hang of this interview business.

AND, she's giving a copy of Ravaged away. So am I! *faints dead away* *comes back to life as vampire*

Let's tally up here, shall we? I'm giving away Ravaged to a lucky person who comments on all the blogs from the tour (can be done all in one day, as long as done before Saturday) which also enters them for $20 gift card, Persephone Jones is giving away The Ulfric's Mate and Ravaged to a commenter on her blog, and I'm giving away The Ulfric's Mate and Ravaged to a commenter on her blog. Blog Tour Day 3

Blog tour day 3 has two stops! how exciting :) come by say hi! Go to yesterday's blog post for links to days one and two!! The more times you comment, the greater your chances at winning! ;-) Come bug the authors, ask them questions (even if they haven't commented. One of us will~nudge~them :D)

First stop, Erzabet's Enchantments. don't you love their cover photo?
The second stop, Guys Like Romance Too for another chance!! This tour has more stops then ever, thereby increasing your chances!! And, if any of my peeps happen to say, I don't know, comment on every stop? I'll put them in a drawing for Ravaged, the anthology being featured here :)
Granted, each stop is basically a here's our books :) but $20 gift card is nothing to sneeze at and you might find yourself in love with a new author. Breathless Press really does have every genre of romance. They push the boundaries. In fact, my sci-fi Christmas story is coming out soon... And yes, that was a not-so-subtle-plug for my soon to come releases :)

Gorgeous cover isn't it? I'm going to post this as often as I can :) Remember, if you comment on all the stops, I'll put you in a drawing for this. :) Comment here to let me know you've done it!

Hey there everyone :)
We're on Blog Tour! First, I hope you went and checked out Angelina Rain's book, Rescued Love. Next item of business, did you miss me? ;;) Been uber busy and stressed with getting kids in school, sick kids, and fires so bad that the smoke is still bothering some people. But, I'm taking a week off. Well, sort of. I'm writing what I want to write, when. I'm not forcing it. Aaaaaand, I'm on tour. Oops. Wrong week to choose for a vacation lol

It's the anthology Ravaged:

This anthology is a great way to try new authors/genres you might not have thought about. There's bound to be a story or two you'll like. This blog tour runs for five days. Here's day one and day two so go enter! It's the GBLT releases, (I know at least one story fits this criteria :) so  you may find other books to spend the giveaway money on if you're the lucky winner!!

I want one of my people to win, so go check it out!!

yay! I have power again and a new release

Well, it's been an interestign 2.5 weeks. We *tried* to go on an anniversary camping trip. Our new to us motorhome broke down. While it was sitting on the side of the road overnight by Gleed, a tiny little town, (The lock wouldn't work and it was too dark to see. We finally figured it out later but it was a little like closing the barn doors after the horses escaped.) someone got in and stole our chainsaw, other items, and more importantly to me, the last really nice thing I owned from when I had a good job--a full set of Rembrandt soft pastels in a hardwood box with brass fittings that retails at over 1000 bucks. I'm heartsick about it. I still cry like a baby when I think about it. I loved that set. My stomach is churning just writing this and it's been two weeks. I don't know if I'll ever get over the cruelty people have to pull over to a broken down motorhome and just help themselves. What if we'd been in there? It just makes me depressed and angry.

So we came home to try and get one night to ourselves, and the next morning our power was shut off. It's a long story and I'm not going into details, but we got power back last Friday. But, by then, my fruit had gone bad and all the freezing done up to this point was wasted. We did manage to eat through more than half of it before it went bad, but it's still heartbreaking. This was to be my stores for healthy snacks for the winter.

But the worst part of being without power was the inability to effectively promote and write. I have a tablet and tried some writing, but I'm still learning it's quirks and I lost 500-1k+ words straight up, because I clicked to a different window without saving. I also haven't been able to figure out how to copy and paste links on it. I finally found out how to highlight links (on purpose) but still couldn't get it to copy. So, on top of everything, during this time without power, I had another release :D
LOL silver linings and all that.

It's the anthology, Ravaged and it's already getting some good reviews so check it out!! It is classified as erotica. My particular short introduces the werebears and a couple of characters that will appear in other shorts and novels. Not a necessity to have read it, but helps to fill in the gaps a little bit :) Also has dolphin shapeshifters!! I can't wait to read the rest of them :)

I've done it. I've written my first historical and it's been accepted into another anthology, the Crimson anthology. It's a vampire story. Love the world I've created around it and am also excited to join a couple of my favorite authors from Ravaged in it. It promises to be another scorcher!

Today Is A Magical Day For Werewolves

*cue Mr Rogers music* No wait, cue Underworld music. Time to go kick some ass and read my story, The Ulfirc's Mate. There's werewolves. Oh, you want more? Fine. There's fighting, sex, romance, intrigue, and the start of a series of tough weres who don't give up. A nasty female for the bad guy. What more could you want?

Seriously, I'm so stoked about this!! I'll keep you all posted on guest posts and reviews as they happen :) They are happening! Things are just moving a little slow on that end. :D

The next one out in the series, which is actually a bit of prequel in time, is in the Ravaged anthology, due out August 3rd :) I'm nearly finished with another novella in the series and about halfway done with the next full novel in the series. Finally getting some writing done. Even 500-1000 a day helps move things forward!!

:D *dances* come party with me :) Lots of virtual chocolate everything and lemon bars :) Also, I'm willing to guest post/do interviews for anyone who doesn't bite, or only bites a little. :D

I hope this excitement of having a new book never ends :) I love writing and it's great fun to see it for sale through such an awesome company to work for!! Seriously, love my fellow authors and my editors. They've really come through for me with my crazy schedule, the memory issues, and making my book look GOOD. :D Love you guys!!

Ooooh Guess what?

Now, I know I said I wouldn't make all my posts about writing...that would be boring IMO but, since writing and painting (or taking pics for later painting) is what I do outside of being a wife and mother, well, it comes up a lot...

But GUESS WHAT??  *pauses to change pants as the excitement gets to her*

The new cover for the Ravaged Anthology is in my hot little hands (and that of a my fellow anthologyians <--don't know if that's a word, but it is now! lol) and I am sharing with you now!

Drum roll please as I post another hot cover by a talented artist from Breathless Press.

See my name just...there... ;) and all my fellow author peeps!! I'm so excited. They did a magnificant job. Not sure who the artist is, but Breathless Press sure got their hands on some good ones!

I'm moving slow on writing. Changed a major plot point. If you're a follower of my author FB page then you know my muse hit the other night as I was nodding off to sleep. What did it do? Oh nothing much. Just decided a major plot point had to change. Warning: Possible spoiler for The Ulfric's Mate--No easy kill off for old Joseph for his very bad misdeeds.

Noooo.

My muse has decided he gets to live--in exile, where of course, he can still be trouble... Sigh. It means I have to rework the whole story though. It's okay. I don't actually WRITE down outlines, I just know where I want to go and how I want to get there. But when my muse does this to me? Well, it's not the first time. I'll get over it!

*squeee* sorry. They slip out once in a while. Now I have TWO book covers to squee over. I may have to get a sock to put in it... LOL

So, back to the drawing board...perhaps literally, as I work out the new plot points in my mind. Also, may be a good time to do some of those edits I need to do...all week and none are finished? oops. Especially since I got second edits back on Barely There that's in the afore mentioned Ravaged.

Time for me to get back to work... And you can thank Persephone Jones for getting this on my blog this early today LOL Sigh.
