Hi!
I know, it hasn’t been six month’s but I thought I’d post anyway :D I have two new releases, Serviced, and Crimson, both anthologies :D Serviced has something to do with military (those were the guidelines to submit) and had to be hot. Well, we deliver! Here’s a FB link for Serviced page and here's the cover:
 ServicedVol1 267x400

Gorgeous, ain’t he? er, sorry for the bad grammar. He’s got me all tongue tied… My story, Over a Dead Body has a Navy man and an NCIS woman and boy do sparks fly.
Riker discovered a body and it’s Edie’s job to determine if he did it or not.
He looked at her, his face set hard in downward lines, his eyes ice cold as they looked at her. “Am I a suspect or a witness?”
“Why don’t you tell me?”
He slammed a fist on the table. The noise echoed in the small room. “Damn it, Edie. You know I didn’t do this. Why are you baiting me?”
Other than a slight twitch of her knees, she managed to control the urge to jump back from his outburst. “I’m doing my job,” she answered coldly.
“Your job.” He sneered the words back at her.
“Yes, my job. I need to find out what happened to the MCPO and your role in it.”
“I had no role. I had a meeting and found him dead.”
“So you say,” she said, poking the tiger. She needed to be sure. She knew him well, even if it had been five years. He still hadn’t told her everything.
“Since when is my honor in doubt?” he nearly shouted.
She clenched her fists behind her back to relieve some of the emotions coursing through her. Was it honorable to leave a woman just weeks before the marriage? “We are talking about murder. Or rather you’re not talking.” Her voice rose on the end. He had a way of getting under her skin—always had. Everyone on her team thought she was cold as ice under pressure.
“I told you I found him and called you. I did not kill him,” he said. His vocal volume also rose, making her feel a bit better. She wasn’t the only one losing control.
“You’re also not telling me the whole truth. Out with it.”
Their shouting match had put them in each other’s faces. Her height so close to his that they were mouth to mouth and before she knew it, he’d grabbed her and stolen a kiss from her. Stolen a kiss, her anger, and her will to resist.
For a brief blissful moment, she forgot about the case, the five years, and the betrayal of abandonment. His lips pressed to hers, rough, demanding and oh so delectable. She gave back as good as she got, her tongue warring with his for supremacy.
Then he stepped back and she stood there dazed. They both were breathing hard and just stared. She recovered first.
“What in the hell was that?” Yes, anger, a dandy shield to hide behind. She should know; she’d perfected the technique over the last five years.
These two are a real riot together. Both strong, both loving and wait until you see what happens to them!!

Hello

Things have been a trip and a half for me these last years. Lately, health issues really took my time away from blogging :) I've really enjoyed the author features, but I have to remember, this is about the whole walk-being a parent, a writer, and still blogging/marketing.

My boy, now four years old, is in the special program at school that will help  him improve his speech :) He's a cute kid all the way around, and stubborn as all get out. :D We picked up a fun play area to build in our back yard... slide, swing, wall climbing, with a two story house you climb to the top of to get to the slide. It'll be a blast!

We finished the fence as well, so I know have a fenced in yard for him to play in! We've got a pool we picked up from craigslist (thanks mom!!) for free(she found it and is awesome!) and will have that as well. It's an above ground pool, but a long one! This summer is looking to be fun for our kids.

Our yards coming along. A lot better than my health is I'm afraid. But I'm starting again, doing like last year, yard work, and c25k to be starting again. I'm starting a month ahead of time so hopefully, will get farther and healthier faster.

I'd started roller derby in September, but then bled for months and months. I'm hoping (keep fingers and toes crossed) I can go back to it!! I'm going to go this weekend and see what they say. It would be a great way to keep in shape!

The big news is I'M RELEASING TWO ANTHOLOGIES WITH BREATHLESS PRESS TOMORROW! Crimson, a vampire antho, and Service, an antho with military related shorts! I'm so stinking excited and overwhelmed! Here's where the party's going to be! Commenting earns you entry to the grand prize! The more entries I get the more prizes I'll give away. The big prize is all six of my books from Breathless Press :) So come and join the fun and let me thrill you!

Here's the event: https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/539386762748951/540457685975192/?notif_t=plan_mall_activity

See you there!

Somewhere on my sidebar is a link to Rick Sexed Up the Doc. A Naughty Nursery Rhyme. I hope you started your collection already, because they are still coming and hot as ever!! The latest by my sweet Dianne Hartsock.

Putting the Naughty in a Nursery Rhyme

Intriguing thought, isn't it? Taking a simple childhood rhyme and turning it into something sizzling? When I'd first heard that Naughty Nursery Rhymes were being written, I wasn’t sure what to think. Could it even be done?

Then I read my first one. Heaven help me! It was one of the hottest things I'd ever read, with shifters and sexy bodies and crazy hot love scenes.

So then I felt challenged. If I were to write a Naughty Nursery Rhyme, which one would I use? I thought instantly of Wee Willie Winkie, one of my favorites.

Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,

Up stairs and down stairs in his night-gown,

Tapping at the window, crying at the lock,

Are the children in their bed, for it's past ten o'clock?

All I could picture was a naughty little boy with an impish grin and a spark of mischief in his eyes. And a nightgown? Made me think of the turn of the century, 1880's.

And that's how my sweet William came to me. A man slightly shorter than average height (hence the name), a mop of blond curls, boyish good looks, with a wicked smile that brought men to their knees. As for him running around in his nightgown crying at the lock, etc.? One night of inebriation and looking for his lover takes care of those lines!

Then of course Willie needed a beautiful, passionate lover to save him from his decadent though very enjoyable ways. Fredrick walks in and steals his heart, but is love enough to keep William happy, or will he go back to his wild bachelor ways?

WEE WILLIE WINKIE

For the past three years William Wilkerson has led the life of the privileged rich. Head of his father’s shipping business, Willie indulges in the pleasures of Boston’s fine young men to his heart’s content. That is, until he meets Fredrick,, the one man who has captured his heart , again.

As his former tutor, Fredrick has been declared off limits by William’s father. Fredrick also believes he's beneath the attention of Wilkerson’s heir. Willie disagrees, but is he willing to throw away rank and privilege for the man he loves?

Excerpt:

Fredrick held up his glass and stared at the candle's flame through the amber liquid. He took a sip, savored the rich, biting taste on his tongue. He welcomed the burn down his throat. This was the very last drink he could afford, and he had to make it last.

A giggle erupted from the booth in the corner, the one whose curtains were drawn against curious eyes. A smile tugged at Fredrick's lips despite the dire state of his wallet. The laugh had been carefree, joyous, naughty. Fredrick shifted on the cushioned bench. Only a few straggling customers remained in the dining room. He wondered if any of them would notice if he shifted his cramped cock as it throbbed in sympathy with the bright laughter.

Rather than risk it, he watched the fruit vender outside the window beguile a customer. Another giggle and stifled moan swiveled his attention back to the corner. A silk-clad foot and slim calf peeked beneath the curtain. He grinned even as the delectable sight emphasized his own loneliness. It had been far too long since he'd had someone in his bed.

"Excuse me. Sir?"

Fredrick looked up, distracted from his memory of lush lips and white skin and wide, hazel eyes, and blinked at the stout innkeeper at his elbow. "Yes?"

A frown fleeted across the man's homely face at another bout of laughter from the corner. "If they're disturbing you, I can have Wee Willie take his guest upstairs. Excuse me, I mean Mister Wilkerson." The man broke off, flustered by the slip of the tongue.

Fredrick's heart leaped on hearing the name mentioned. Is William really here? How could that be? The innkeeper coughed, and Fredrick frowned at the intrusion into his thoughts. The man was so damned serious about such a minor indiscretion. "They're no bother. In fact, I'm almost done anyway." He lifted his nearly empty glass. Hearing a shout, they looked over in time to see a young man tumble through the curtains onto the floor. Fredrick caught a glimpse of red hair and an embarrassed cheek before the gentleman crammed a hat on his head and strode passed them, face averted. The innkeeper shrugged and followed, likely to be sure he paid for his drinks.

Fredrick stared at the silk-clad foot still protruding from the parted curtains. He loosened his hold on his glass but had no way to stop the wild hammering of his heart. Before he lost his courage, he stood and swallowed the last of his brandy, then walked the short distance to the booth.

A grin tugged the corner of his mouth at his eagerness. It had been three years, after all, and they'd parted in anger. Would William acknowledge him? His hand trembled as he drew aside the heavy curtain and allowed his gaze to travel up the silky hose to bright blue trousers. Blood heated his face when he found the laces undone at the waist and the silk shirt open to expose white skin and rosebud nipples.

A sigh brought his gaze up to the pretty face that stirred his dreams. Rich brown curls surrounded lovely hazel eyes and full, pouting lips. He groaned when a delighted smile revealed the even, white teeth that had nipped his collarbone on more than one glorious occasion. "Freddie, is it you?"

My first interview of a fellow author Raven McAllan

Hello all you happy people. I've gone and done it. I've done an interview. Raven was a very good sport about being my guinea pig. In fact, she said I could do her. As she's in Scotland... ;) Okay, enough of the Romance writer bad joke banter. Please, welcome the great, the one and only Raven McAllan!

Hi Raven. It's great to have you back again. First, I'd like to thank you for being my guinea pig for author interviews :D Let's get a couple of traditional questions out of the way, shall we?

Great to be back, and lets go for it.

How long have you known you wanted to write?

I suspect, ever since I first realized that the crayon in my hand made words, and words made sentences…

What was your breakthrough that helped you finish that first novel?

The first one published was due to a dare by my crit group. They dared me to write it and sub it, so I did. The first ever (awful terrible cliché ridden rubbish) was because my DH bought me a computer and told me I had no excuse now.

Best writing advice to those scared to try their hand at writing?

Do it. Write as you can, not as you think you should and ignore the doubters.

Okay, those are out of the way, let's get to the good ones. *rubs hands together with glee*

Raven grabs a cup of coffee and looks worried.

What is your favorite love scene from your books? And why?

Raig on the roundabout from The Price To Pay… when she's watching him… well he just opens his mouth and the words are nectar! And ohh that smile…So combine that with his trust in her, and his actions and ohh well… you'll need to read the book *laugh*

If you're stuck on a scene, do you have a special thing you do for inspiration?

Eat chocolate, play on the net. Moan and groan… Actually I look out of my window…

What's in your nightstand?

My underwear! (sorry)

Was there a character who embarrassed you but you wrote it anyway? If so who and where can I buy the book? ;)

Do you know, I don't think there is, not really. I've written some things with my eyes closed lol, and then thought Bloody hell did I write that? But not embarrassed per se. A Most Unusual Mistress I loved writing, because she is so feisty. In To Catch A Fox, I combined all my favorite things. Shape shifters, Menage, Regency, hot men, strong woman… I have a book out on 17th (from Evernight Publishers) called A Shimmer of Silk and that did give me a few 'can I really write this' moments. Not because I'm ashamed or embarrassed, but because it was very personal to my characters! Oh and very hot! It's a sequel to Silver Silk Ties. That was the book where I really realized I can write. Oh everyone might not like it, but this is me, my voice, and I'm not ashamed of it.

On your last visit, you gave an impressive list of books. I'm thinking you're impressive and I want to be like you when I grow up. Can you adopt me and my kids? lol Seriously, you're with more than one publisher, and you have health issues that make it hard, yet, you not only prevail, but spectacularly so. HOW do you do that?

Ah thank you. *blush* Actually I've slowed down a bit now. However, I know my limitations, and when I'm okay to write I just write, and luckily DH is fine with that. If I can't type for any reason, I've now learned to accept it, and I’ll read instead. (well okay I have been known to type one fingered on occasion) I do try to do at least an hour a day though, so I don't lose the thread.

oh and consider yourself adopted lol ta xxx

You're amazing and I'm glad to have you back! *starts making out new passport application*

You're a doll xxx I'm so pleased to be here.

Here's some links for the beautiful books by Raven, but she has many, many more.

You can find links to all Raven's Books on her web… www.ravenmcallan.com

Meanwhile here's some teasers

Teaching Teacher

Finding love in a new town had not been in Seb's plans. But life has a tendency to throw you curveballs – like Ruari.

When the new head teacher walks into his bar, Ruari knows he has to have him, and damn the consequences. When lust turns to love, nothing else matters. Together they will overcome, no matter what. Or will circumstances drive them apart?

To Catch A Fox

When Eleanor was told the foxes had returned to Wilderwood she wondered, and hoped it wasn't just any old foxes. She’d spoken to no one of her week of passion with Alexander and Stanford Foxxe

The Foxxe brothers had warned her about their other lives, but Eleanor had been skeptical until that magical night where they had showed her their true selves. They shifted from human to animal; howled at the moon, and mated with her.

Now six years later, the foxes were back.

Had they come for her? If they had, would her changed circumstances alter all their plans? How would they cope with what she had become?

and

The Price To Pay

Do a friend a favor? Easy. Persuade the woman she's your soul mate? Not so easy. Does this cougar romance stand a chance?

Raig was only doing a favor for a friend. Who'd have thought the mum he was "babysitting" would turn out to be the woman of his dreams?

Raig could see their future; Vairi could only see the age difference. He may say "you are only as old as the man you feel," but she couldn't do the forever he wanted. Too many obstacles stood in their way, especially when she finds out Raig has not been telling her the truth, even though she too has secrets she's not willing to share. Can they open up and put their doubts behind them to discover how satisfying a cougar romance can be?

Comment and if we hit 10, we'll be giving away a free book. And if we hit 25 we'll give away 3

DO YOU GUYS SEE HER GENEROUSITY??? Thank her by commenting!

Featured Author, Kayla Jameth

Remember my Naughty Nursery Rhyme, Rick Sexed Up the Doc? Well, it's got company. And the person bringing us the next fabulous installement is Kayla Jameth. (We had one as a Christmas Release as well so check it out!) And *looks around and whispers* I have it on good authority, there will be another
For those who don't know, this line has grown to encompass fairy tales as well. And From the Ashes is based (how loosely or closely I can't wait to find out!) on the fairy tale, Cinderella. Now, without further ado, I introduce you to Kayla.
Bio:
A knight and a former princess, Kayla Jameth now spends her time writing m/m romance. A true Renaissance woman, she has done everything from cross stitch like a proper lady to welding with the best of them. An eclectic life has left her with a unique understanding of the world inhabited by men and an appreciation for the difficulties faced by men in m/m relationships. It is her devout wish that her experiences translate into a richer telling of such tales.

Ooooh I don't know about you, but this sounds like a woman after my own heart. Who says you can't be tough and cross stitch too?

Now would you like to see a little more about the book From the Ashes? Me too!

Cinder is not just another pretty face. He aspires to be his own man, but finds himself longing to belong to another man.

Cinder never thought that he could rise from the ashes of his life, but an unexpected encounter with a woman claiming to be his fairy godmother may be just what he needs. Finding himself flung into his very own fairy tale, she sends him off to meet his Prince Charming. But was the gown really necessary?

And if that's not enough to tempt you into buying, how about an excerpt?

Cinder glanced around. Paper lanterns floated in the trees, lined the walks, and graced the gazebo near the reflecting pool, giving the grounds a mystical air. Their warm glow caught the dancing jets of the fountain splashing merrily to his right. The musical, crystalline tones carried on the night wind’s breath. He was reminded of the enchanted gardens in the fairy tales his father had read to him when he was a child. What would happen to him if he dared walk there?
Henri led him toward the gazebo. Soon he would find out.
The cool breeze caressed his uncovered neck. Cinder shivered at the ethereal touch. Henri turned to him, the question clear in his eyes, but he didn’t know how to answer. Instead he breathed in the tangible scent of rich earth and flowing water, hoping to calm his bounding heart.
Henri lightly stroked his arm. Cinder’s breath caught at the silky brush of the other man’s fingers. He drew another shaky breath. Henri may have meant to soothe him; instead his touch set Cinder’s wayward body aflame.
They left the last of the courtiers behind as they entered the dim interior of the fanciful pavilion. Vines climbed its intricately carved posts, perfuming the air within. The music and voices of the aristocrats faded away. Only a single intrepid nightingale could be heard over the cheerful burbling of the fountain. Hidden from the rest of the court, an unworldly sense of peace filled him. Was his very own fairy tale about to come true?
Bespelled and bemused, he could feel the magic in every beat of his heart, in every trembling breath he drew.
Once inside the bower, Henri reached to cup Cinder's cheek. Unused to being touched, he nearly flinched away but managed to still, heart pounding, before giving himself away. The older man's thumb slid across his cheekbone and came to rest lightly on his mouth. Why did he want to lean into that caress?
The other man's warm, slightly musky scent filled his nostrils, drowning his senses.
Henri's other hand wrapped around his waist and drew him close. He leaned closer while tipping Cinder's face upwards. Cinder's breath left him in a rush, stirring the noble’s hair. Henri was all that he could see, his mouth slowly, carefully descending toward Cinder’s. If he allowed this, the other man might discover his deception. He couldn’t risk that, so why then did he ache to feel Henri’s kiss? Their lips brushed, light as thistle down.
Surprisingly, Henri's mouth was soft and warm upon his own. After a moment, it pressed more firmly against his. Something fluttered in his chest, trying to get out.
Cinder didn't think to pull away until he felt Henri's tongue seeking entrance. The hand on his face slipped to his nape and held firm. He froze in shock, not even daring to breathe, as flames rushed through his body. The very beat of his heart betrayed him.
The questing tongue stroked his lips and pushed between them. It slid over his teeth, seeking to enter. When he protested, Henri swept in and began a lazy, sensuous exploration that left him breathless.
Soon he found himself returning the caress. Henri responded to his fledgling attempts by pulling him closer and moaning into his mouth. He had never experienced anything so sensual and erotic. He fed his own needy pleas to the other man one at a time.
Finally they separated slightly, Cinder panting heavily, trying to catch his breath. Was Henri as affected by their kiss as he was? A quick glance confirmed Cinder was not alone in his arousal. Flushed and gasping, Henri gazed at him with eyes full of wonder and something unnamed smoldering in their depths.
Sounds fantastic, right? :D
