Bet you thought I'd forgotten didn't you?? Nope. Been composing blogs in my head everyday!! This one will go out because my sluggish brain can't function well enough to write :) Wait, that sounds wrong somehow. Hmmm.
I've had sick boys on my horizon last few days. Was on Asthma watch for two nights with the middle child. First time in over a year I've had to do that. Amazing how much easier it is to do when you're not exhausted from having dealt with it way too much already.
I'm hoping my older one doesn't get the nasty cold. It laid his grandpa out flat and that's saying something!! The two younger ones are well on their way to mending, thankfully. I did manage to write though :D
On my FB author page, I posted I did over 17k this past weekish. I was right. I sat down and crunched some numbers, Since last Sunday I did, 2-3k on Traincoach of death to finish it up & sent it off, 14.5k on Dangerous Journey for Splintered Lands, sent it off, edited (read cut) some on Search for Sorren for Splintered Lands (stand alone novel SQUEEE) and still ended up 600+ so probably about 1k there, 2k on a novella I'm working on when my mind needs a break from current work in progress (title is hidden for now...it's an extra project. We'll see how it works out ;P), and 10k on Midwife's Moon that I hope will go for the hot shifters section for Breathless Press. Someone else can crunch the final numbers for me, but I think, I done past 17k last Thursday sometime... LOL
I've posted a few lines from Midwife's Moon on my author page and they really are quite good. The challenge will be to keep the rest of the book up to par. :D The bigger challenge? It's a high heat rating (read sex) and I have sex BDSM done wrong by the main bad people and that's going to be a huge challenge! I have to start off hot and have it detoriate into a scary ball of $#!t to show her slide into madness as the last chains of societal restrictions fall away and her extreme selfishness and power hungery as well as set up she's really not the REAL bad guy of the series as is presumed. It needs to be in there because sex is how she's controlled her pack and those around her for centuries. Sex followed by kills...
BUT the biggest challenge involved with that is I then need to follow it up with even HOTTER sex between hero and heroine and BDSM done right and I'll need to work hard so the impact is stronger and a relief from what had started out as sexy & turn psycho earlier on is out weighed by the couple. *headdesk* It was not supposed to happen this book (2nd 50k+ or bigger) but the slide needs to be shown and the character only hinted at in book 1 needs to come more to the front... without taking over.
I also need to write another installment for Traincoach of Death, but I am kinda waiting from the editor to see what he likes/dislikes about it before attempting the next one. Well, If I keep up this pace, I'll have plenty finished by the end of the month!! Oh, and guess what else I did this past week??? I PAINTED *dances* :D
How was your week?
The long road to publishing and the adventures of being a full time mom while on the way :) *and beyond! :)

I know, I forgot.
I forgot to blog yesterday. However, my goal is 3-5x a week, so I'm still good. I finished the first installment of the Traincoach of Death series (a mystery). It'll need editing, I'm sure, but I love the new world. Imagine if Great Britian won the Revolutionary War, or it would be known as the American Rebellion :D or some such thing. things would progress similarly as they took over this part, but maybe they would have conquered Mexico? I don't know. I haven't decided how far reaching they are in my alternate world. But one thing that's changed...We never made cars. It's all by rail or horses. But we have personal rail cars, called Traincoaches, which work much like our vehicles of today, except they run on rails.
I've been quite fascinated with it, ever since I had a dream set in such a world. I hope others are as fascinated as I am :D Now, I'm getting down and serious on finishing up Dangerous Journey (fantasy set in the world of Splintered Lands, as I've mentioned ad naseum lol) :D Hopefully before the next set of edits on my paranormal romance, The Ulfric's Mate, get's back to me, or the Barely There edits from the anthology Ravaged, comes back to me.
Oh dear, have I confused you yet? LOL Yes, I have a TON of writing going on, and the best part? ALL of it is paid writing gigs :D *dances* *looks around* Ahem, excuse me, I'm just a bit excited over the whole thing! lol However, this pantster had to put her foot in the door of a plotter (I used to work in an office, I do know HOW to organize) and make files for everything (thank God we have a filing cabinet in the house now!) and make character cards, labeling the series and books each character has appeared in. *Shudder*
It was necessary.
In other news, we've been rearranging things and I'm going to have a painting space again :) I'm so excited I can barely keep the squeees from coming out LOL I've said it before, but I need to paint AND write. One helps the other. They are simbiotic with me. If I don't do both, they both suffer for it. I've been living vicariously through my good artist friend Russ Potak (who really is amazing. I may try to get him to interview here for me someday. I'm in love with his work. I can't get enough of it :) and looking at other art things when I can. As my old professor used to say: YOU CANNOT CREATE IN A VACCUUM!
Okay, soap box done for the day. I won't even go on about how that applies to writers as well and the need to READ...Oh wait, I just did *G* Consider it my PSA for the day.
Now, off to do more writing, reading, and organizing while dreaming about painting!

See?
I said I would blog more and here I am, blogging more :D
I went to dentist today and had a cleaning. I have 9 cavities left to fill. Oh and, by the way, we're pretty sure your insurance is used up. We'll double check. (the root canal eats it up quick!) sigh. Well, anyways, I'll figure out. Maybe some rich person will see my art and ask me to do paintings for every room of their gigantic mansion. Maybe a portrait or two? LOL It can happen...
Anyways, I'm just popping over 7k on my short, but haven't worked on it since 6am yesterday. I'm determined to finish it today and send it off tonight or tomorrow after a last run through. I've been editing as I go, so there shouldn't be too many problems. One can hope. After that, I'll be finishing the Dangerous Journey which was started as a serial here. Be sure to read from the beginning :D
I'll take fan mail at all time and if there's something you REALLY gotta know, be sure to tell me so it gets in the anthology LOL My fellow bloggers, readers, writers, et al. I must return to the fray. Fare the well, and all that!

And It's ON!
So, the game is on! The two stories have posted here for your reading pleasure! Please no trying to guess who wrote what. LOL really vote for the one you like the most! So far, from what I hear, it's a close thing! It was fun and I wrote a lot and edited a lot and threw out more :P
Also, go here to catch up on Dangerous Lands. From here on out, I'll be writing the episodes by myself. It's a bit nervewracking :D I'm sending my newest installment as soon as I finsh the last edit run-through. It's so much fun to have writing events happening! I miss being able to write everyday. I'm going to try to go back to everyday, even if it's only half an hour. I've been so overwhelmed, but I'm adjusting.
Now go! shoo! you have reading to do!

New installment
So the third installment in Dangerous Journey is up on Splintered Lands. I'm having so much fun with this. It makes me grin from ear to ear. I don't worry about them thinking I'm crazy-they already do. soemthing about my love of editing or something lol I do like editing from constructive criticism. Hate editing for change of POV though *frowns and growls at remembering that I still have some to go*
Anyways, thanks for the comments on posts. I'm still having trouble with blogger. Something with my cookies. Even though I cleared my cache memory, it won't let me leave comments. I wish, they'd called those stupid memory helps something besides cookies. I LIKE cookies. I don't like this kind of problem...
Anyway, got news that my commissioned painting arrived safely, which made me very happy :D I like it when things go well. She really likes it, which makes me even happier LOL
I'm on an insane challenge to write 25k by this day next week (start word count is actually 21753), so must get on with it! Wish me luck!
Ta-ta for now!
